• TALES FROM AN AMERICAN GIRL DOLL COLLECTOR •

Hi! I'm Jennifer!
t h e b l o g g e r
I got my first American Girl outfits back in the late ’90’s to use with my first 18″ doll, Magic Attic Club Megan. It wasn’t until 2014 that I got my very first American Girl doll, Isabelle Palmer, Girl of the Year 2014. I love creating scenes in my display case with my dolls, and try to change them up depending on the season.

I started this blog's predecessor, MINI MAD: We're All Mini Mad Here, back in 2014. Originally, it was a place for me to share different small, cute things I've collected over the years -- like tokidoki and FINAL FANTASY figures, small wooden objects, and of course, American Girl items. I quickly realized that I had the most fun writing about my American Girl collection, so the blog became all things AG.
These days, I primarily share my collection via Instagram, but every so often, I want to share more information about something in my collection, like a doll's backstory or the creation process behind something I've DIY'd. Enter Mini Mad! Tales from an American Girl Doll Collector! This blog is the companion piece to my Instagram, and where I'll link if I want to give more details about something I post on Instagram.

Which 18" dolls do you have?
My current doll crew includes:
-
"Glam Lash" Josefina (coming soon)
-
"Glam Lips" Josefina (coming soon)
I've had other dolls in my collection, but they've gone on to new homes.
Do you take sewing commissions?
No. I'm still very much a "confident beginner" who makes MANY mistakes every time I sew -- even if it's a pattern I've made multiple times! That said, I've had a lot of luck finding really nice handmade doll clothes from Etsy, so I'd recommend checking there.
Can I buy [item] from you?
No. I try to post about anything I'm about to sell on my Instagram. If it's not there, it's not for sale. If you're trying to find something secondhand, I'd recommend checking eBay first. I've found a few secondhand dolls for great prices there!
Can I use your images?
No. These images are for use on my Instagram or website only.
How can I leave you a comment/ask you a question?
If you have a comment or question, please feel free to write/ask on one of my Instagram posts. I purposely disabled comments on this site (and then re-disabled -- thanks, Wix), because it's much faster and easier for me to respond via Instagram. This site is just meant to be a companion piece to my Instagram posts (the "extended edition," if you will ^_~).
