Fun in the Southwest Travel Outfit

The Fun in the Southwest Travel Outfit is one I've debated getting since it was released in 2024. I LOVE the colors (especially the gold to fuchsia of the tiered skirt), I love the structure of the t-shirt, and the graphic is really cute, too (though I could do without the giant "AG").
I found the set brand new on eBay a few weeks ago for cheaper than I would be able to get it directly from American Girl, and decided it was worthy of using some of my eBay gift cards.
I was waiting to put this outfit on one of my dolls closer to summer, but apparently where I live summer decided to come early! It's been in the 80's and 90's for most of the month! It's currently 92 degrees outside as I write this! INSANE! You can probably tell from the picture above, but it's also so bright, it's hard to get a good photo.
The outfit is super cute and very summer-y. Marina looks incredible in it, which makes sense because it uses a lot of the colors you can find in her collection. I think this outfit would look amazing on other brunette dolls as well. I can especially see someone like Josefina rocking it.
While the outfit looks cute as is, it also has really good mix 'n' match potential. The t-shirt and shoes are easy pieces to use separately, but I think the skirt would look great with a lot of different tops, too (or maybe as an underskirt). The accessories are easy to add to other outfits as well.
This is the kind of set I'd like to see American Girl do more of -- pieces that look good together, but can easily be used with parts of other outfits!
