Doll-Sized Daiso Finds

On a recent trip to Daiso, I found a couple of cute, perfectly doll-sized items -- a Frappuccino-style drink charm and a small zippered coin purse.

I removed the chain from the drink charm and covered the small suggestion of a straw on the lid with a rolled piece of paperboard from the coin purse tag. Then I used a small piece of tape to keep it curled and squeezed some tacky glue down the middle. The tape kept trying to peel off, so I eventually removed it, but the tacky glue seems to be holding everything together from the inside.

Just Like You #7 (light skin, brown hair with bangs, light blue eyes) holding a drink charm and a mini zippered coin purse.
Tasty treat? Check! Cute bag? Check! Let's go shopping!

The coin purse is just the right size for a doll. There were a bunch of different Sanrio characters to choose from, but I liked the size of the Pochacco design compared to the rest of the bag. The others had huge designs and for some reason, the lack of negative space made it harder to sell the idea that this could be a full sized bag in doll scale. (And I think Pochacco is cute, anyway ♥).

Ordinarily, I wouldn't make a blog post for these kinds of items -- it's pretty common to find drink charms or coin purses compared to something like a lightsaber swizzle stick, but I finally figured out a workaround for the Instagram color bug I've been struggling with for a few months (when I edit the color on my photos, the posted photo looks nothing like the preview), and I was so happy with this photo of April, I wanted an excuse to post it here, too lol. 😁
